Plied with coffee - Laminated birch ply coffee table
This unique coffee table wouldn't look out of place in any modern styled home. Its constructed from a huge number of strips of high quality Scandinavian birch ply, which is what gives it it's symmetric striped look. Strip upon strip of birch ply were laminated together to form the top, then all the offcuts were utilised to make the leg sections and hidden magazine rack. Once the laminating was complete the whole thing was trimmed in oak and then spray finished in a hard wearing lacquer. All the materials for this table were off cuts from a kitchen project meaning the table had very little environmental impact or carbon footprint.
