Solid Iroko Japanese style platform bed
This Asian influenced platform bed was made for a client in Bristol. The client wanted the bed to be quite low and not dominate the room too much, but while still being visually striking. Platform beds work well for this as you can keep them low to the ground but the surrounding platform gives you enough scope to show off the stunning grain of the solid Iroko timber its made from. The natural grainy timber mixed with the Japanese joinery details was just enough to give it a unique and elegant feel without going too over the top.
