Oak shaker wardrobes with office shelving & filing

This oak wardrobe and shelving combination was one of two similar projects for the same client. It was built and fitted in the clients home office which explains the strange combination of a wardrobe with office shelving and filing.
With its traditional shaker styling good quality European Oak was a suitably fitting timber. The design was kept quite traditional and in-keeping with the period property, but with just enough detail in the staggered shelving section to give it a contemporary feel. The shelving was staggered to let light through to the hallway through the window in the original external wall. The left hand section is fitted with movable shelving while the staggered section was fixed in place. Below the shelving it had two drawers built for filing two drawers for stationary and three storage cupboards.
